Our vacation this year took us to the mountains of Colorado. We always try to escape the Oklahoma summer heat so in August the mountains were the perfect choice for us! The flowers of Colorado just comfort my soul as I love the beautiful combinations and variety of bloomers that seem to be just everywhere!
In Vail we visited their fantastic farmer's market and I spied these flowers boxes that complement
the fun shutters.
Colorful containers line the walkways and streets.
Delphiniums in full bloom.
Hanging baskets to die for!
I love this patio!
Pink petunias complement the pink windows!
Shasta Daisies outside our condo
were in full bloom!
We also visited the Boulder farmer's market and what a treat it was with all the beautiful bouquets
and produce.
Even the produce was beautiful...
and of course I couldn't leave without buying a bouquet to enjoy back at the condo.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Boulder and the surrounding areas that were so devastated by the recent floods. They have reopened the Boulder farmer's market and if you are in the area go out and support those great folks!

Beautiful flowers...and that produce is to die for!
ReplyDeleteWow they are so pretty! You find the best places to go to.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I haven't been there for many years, I adore Vail...especially in the summer. The Broadmoor is a pretty neat place to spend summer time, too thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. Your picture are beautiful. The flowers and produce look so fresh and vibrant. The gladiolas I planted in the beginning of July are just now starting to bloom. They are about the only sparks of color left in my flower boarders other than the morning glories that have about taken over.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are just beautiful; Colorado is such a gorgeous and magical place. I enjoyed seeing your pics of Vail and Boulder.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous photos! I love the first one very much. It's been about 25 years since we were in Vail and your pix brought back happy memories! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been to Vail many times but not lately. My favorite spot there is the Hummingbird area near the ???Hummingbird Restaurant?? Not sure about the name. I love Georgetown because of the low budget movie John Denver made there. Did you stop there? It is just before Idaho Falls off I 70 on the west down in a valley.
ReplyDeleteBernideen in Colorado Springs, Co
Yes we did go to Georgetown and had lunch at a cafe and did some shopping...it started to rain so we didn't ride the train. Beautiful place!
