This has truly been the year for hydrangeas in my garden!
I've been adding a few different varieties
the past few years and wish I had room
for more!
Newly planted 'Forever' White Mophead.
I add lots of peat moss to the planting hole and around the plant to help with
moisture retention.
Oakleaf Hydrangea
'Nikko Blue'
Hortensia Merritt's Supreme
I have 'Little Limelight' in my front border that is a late blooming panicle variety
and blooms in full sun.
I'll share it next month when it blooms.
There are so many new varieties
available now and I am trying to figure out where I can squeeze in a few more.
It's hard not to fall in love with hydrangeas!
Happy Gardening!
Oh so beautiful! I'm just a wee bit jealous because we have no shade.
ReplyDeleteI do have an Oak Leaf planted on the side of the house and it's blooming like crazy. It has rust on it (which I think is fungus) and we need to take care of that.
You just keep sharing those pretty pictures. :)
I agree it is hard not fall in love with hydrangeas! I adore them. I'm still crowding them in and wanting more.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! The hydrangeas are all gorgeous. Our oak leaf hydrangeas need to be cut back after all the rain we've had. The blooms are now brown. '-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed seeing the beauty of your garden. Thanks!
These are beautiful, Sonia! I adore hydrangeas!
