Pink Saturday & LAST DAY OF GIVEAWAY

This week I finally have some bloomers in my garden.  I love this 'Nellie Moiser' clematis vine.  The pink is so soft and the darker pink stripes and center are such a nice contrast.

This year she's blooming more than ever and the flowers are huge!  I transplanted this vine 15 years ago from my previous home and I'm so glad I did!

PINK FAVORITES, THRIFTY FINDS, TEAPARTIES AND A GIVEAWAY

My favorite day of the week is here again...and I love Pink Saturday.  It seems alot of my tablescapes have pink in them because I tend to gravitate to happy colors.  Yellow, pink and red are such cheerful colors to play with.

This week I wanted to do a table for my friend Deb, who gave me this sweet teapot for Easter decorated with dainty little pink rosebuds.   Deb is one of my dearest friends and is one of the most generous and kindest people I know...She has a laugh as big as Texas (we live in Oklahoma..but I think they can hear her across the Red River)  Love you Deb!!

I  found fabric window panels from Martha Stewart's collection at a thrift store and thought they could double as a beautiful tablecloth for this teapot.  I'm linking to Rhoda's Thrifty Treasures this week as this was one of my thrifty finds this week.

My old favorite pink and off white dishes came back out since the colors are so soft and coordinate well with the floral print.

I added some spring accessories for a springtime breakfast.  Sweet little egg cups are perfect for this table.

Hope you are enjoying beautiful Spring weather!

Have a wonderful week and don't forget to check out all the pink posts at Beverly's How Sweet the Sound as well as Laurie's Favorite Things Saturday.

I'm linking with Chari's Sunday Favorites too..she is always such a fun hostess!

Also linking with:  Rhoda at Southern Hospitality on Monday for Thrifty Treasures, Marty's Tabletop Tuesdays, Lady Katherine's Tea Time Tuesdays, Susan's BNOTP Tablscapes Thursday and Cindy's Romantic Home Show and Tell Friday!

ONE YEAR BLOG-ANNIVERSARY, GIVEAWAY & STRAWBERRY TEA

Strawberries and teapots are a few of my favorite things.  I'm a new fan of Laurie's Favorite Things Saturday and I'm also linking to Sunday Favorties at Chari's Happy to Desgin, Marty's Tabletop Tuedays, Lady Katherine's Tea Time Tuesday,  Rhondi's Tea Party Tuesdays,  Susan's BTNOP Tablescapes Thursday and Cindy's Romantic Home Show and Tell Friday!

So many social engagements...so little time.  LOL!  Join in all the parties for lots of  fun and great ideas.

I'm celebrating my first
year of blogging and set a special strawberry table to share with my bestfriend.

She gave me this adorable teapot ...she knows me so well and chose this "girly" pink rose covered teapot for me.  Thanks Valerie!!!  I served her spiced tea, a fresh vegatable and bow -tie pasta salad topped off  with fresh strawberries.

I thought this sweet teapot went well with the strawberry colors and my favorite little pink petaled cake stand.

I found these pink plates on clearance and loved the soft pink color and the border.  They look good layered on the off white Target dinner plates I 've had for years.

I found these strawberry plates at Pier One...hard to resist, since I had purchased an April Cornell strawberry tablecloth on my trip to Texas.  I thought they would look perfect for the table!

I found these strawberry pewter bowls at Goodwill for a steal several months ago...4 for $3.00.  So cute to serve fresh berries in.

For an alternate look I switched out the pink plates for the green cabbage and layered the Pier One plates on top...I like this look too!

Candles and silk flowers add to the table for two.

I just used red napkins with a simple white porcelain napkin ring...you can add flowers too for a more "girly" look.

I went to a friend's estate sale and found these beautiful teacups from Johnson Brothers..the pattern is Enchanted Garden...I love this pattern and I'm looking for more pieces if the price is right.

Finally, I added my family's favorite strawberry jam from Swanton Berry Farm in California. It's the best! We love our visits and when we run out of jam..it's time to go back to the farm!

Have a wonderful week!

I hope you will enter my giveaway...see details below.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail Easter Table

Easter is such a special day to me.   We worship at our church and then spend the day with my sons.  My guys are usually watching golf while I'm in the kitchen finishing preparations for a special meal.  Like so many of you,  I have always loved setting a pretty table for the holidays long before "tablescaping" was a word.

My friend gave me a truly special gift just in time for my Easter tablescape.

She knows I enjoy tablescapes and collecting dishes and she generously gave me this beautiful Fitz and Floyd tea set that belonged to her mother.  Such a precious gift and I just love it!!  The black and white rabbit and the carrot handle are so unique.
Thanks so much Linda!!

I already had cabbage leaf plates and placemats in my collection...so I couldn't wait to create a special tablescape with these beautiful pieces.

This is my kitchen breakfast table and a preview of  the tablescape I am planning for our Easter dinner in the dining room.

I layered a simple white Pier One dinner plate with my favorite green majolica.  I finished with  the carrot sugar bowl from the tea set just for fun.

The set also included a cake plate with three little bunnies surronding a large cabbage leaf.  Such a cute piece and a perfect plate for an Easter carrot cake.

Until the cake is done...I put out some carrots for my new little friends.

I love conservatories and greenhouses...this miniature version was on clearance for $20 and I couldn't resist.  The dragonfly latch is so pretty.

I filled it with a spring bird's nest, a vintage bunny from GW  and teacup filled with a candle.

Hope your Easter Day is blessed and you spend it with people you love!
